How do I make an order?

Making an order is very simple.

1) Choose a product and click “Add to cart”.

2) To continue, click “Proceed to checkout”.

3) If it’s your first order, you’ll be asked to provide your details.and if you are a company, you have to request the invoice filling up the company data. 

4) Select the shipping method 

5) Choose a payment method, PayPal or bank transfer

6) Click “Check out” to complete your purchase.

How can I pay for my order?

You can choose between the following options:

1) PayPal: a quick, easy and secure way to make payments without having to enter your details every time.

3) Bank transfer: once you’ve confirmed your order, we’ll send you an email with our account de-tails so that you can transfer the money.

How much does delivery to addresses in Italy cost?

Delivery is free for orders of €35 or more. A charge of just €5.00 applies for smaller orders

How much does delivery to addresses outside Italy cost?
The cost for delivery to addresses outside Italy depends on the chosen country. You’ll be able to see the cost in the summary in the cart once you’ve selected your country.

Can I change an order or a delivery address after I’ve confirmed it?

It is possible to cancel the order once it has been made. Contact us and let us know what you would like to do as soon as possible. Our staff will see if it can be done.

What do I need to do to get an invoice?

To ensure that you receive an invoice, in your account tick the box for “Require invoice?” in the “Add main address” section, provide all of the tax data (such as your VAT number) and en-ter either your “Recipient Code” or your certified email address. Once you’ve done all of this, you’ll automatically be sent an invoice for each order that you make.

Who will deliver my order?

Our deliveries are made by express couriers. They arrive within 24/72 working hours of the order being completed in Italy and 6 working days of the date when the order is completed in other countries.

What happens if the courier is unable to deliver the products?

The courier will always attempt to deliver the products a number of times. An attempted delivery note will be left after the first attempt. After the last attempt, the package will be left in the depot for a maximum of ten days. The courier will notify us and we’ll get in touch with you to arrange a new delivery.

Do I have to register in order to make an order?

No, but if you register then you’ll have access to more information about your order. To find out more, please see the Creating and managing accounts section

What are the benefits of registering?

You’ll have access to more information about your orders, you can manage your personal infor-mation and collect reward points and you’ll be sent exclusive messages and details of special of-fers.

Right of Withdraw 

In fulfilment of the provisions of the Legislative Decree of 21 February 2014, no. 21 regarding the implementation of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, the customer can return the purchased product and receive a refund of the amount actually paid, without the need to provide explanations and without any penalty.

The right of withdrawal consists in the possibility to return to the seller the goods received and to obtain reimbursement of the price paid for the purchasing of the products.

The right of withdrawal can be exercised within the deadline of 14 days from the receipt of the product with the following procedures:

Before the above-mentioned deadline, the Customer shall send a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to Barbera 1870 S.p.a. or provide other statement from which the intention to withdraw from the purchase contract is clearly manifested. The notice can be sent within the above-mentioned deadline, by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, to the address Via Acireale 16, 98124 Messina or by e-mail to the address: e-shop@caffebarbera.it.

Once checked that all the requirements for the right of withdrawal are met, The Customer Service of Barbera 1870 S.p.a. will contact the consumer in order to communicate the return address for the undamaged  products, within the deadline of fourteen days, excluding holidays and weekend,  since the date when customer has notified his/her decision to withdraw from the contract;

The shipping costs for returning the goods are charged to the customer.

In case of any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling of the goods other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the products (for example damaged products, products not duly or completely assembled, or with missing or damaged parts, such as components, accessories, assembly material, boxes, documents and/or other items), Barbera 1870 S.p.a. will reimburse the purchase price after deducting such diminished value.

Should the Customer send products back after the said period or should the Customer send opened and/or partially used products which cannot be returned, the right of withdrawal does not apply and Barbera 1870 S.p.a. will return the purchased product to the Customer, charging the delivery costs there to.

Subject to the above limitations, Barbera 1870 S.p.a. will reimburse the amount actually paid by the Customer within 14 days of receipt of the notice of withdrawal, by means of a credit note to the Customer’s bank account or credit card.
