The seeming simplicity of harmonized shapes and colours in the 2013 Calendar hides a more refined background of composite decorations, anthropomorphic and floral elements, old memories filtered by new thoughts, an eclectic virtuosity of lines which show coffee in today’s – as well as yesterday’s – everyday life…
Each page catches the viewer’s eye, leading him to look for original elements to recognize, or quotations from ancient iconography, Renaissance paintings, and more. Knowledge and pleasantness are this year’s original proposals from Barbera Caffè, who are proud of the increasing success the ‘Art & Coffee’ Calendar has been enjoying for years and the mounting enthusiasm before every new publication.
As is often the case, holding a calendar in your hands, showing the months to come, makes one stop and think, check things, take stock… Many will try to give an account, hopefully with something to show at the end of the year.
We all wish for a year full of progress, positive days and a future resembling the message proposed here in these pages: a revival of tradition within a fairy tale that is coloured, musical, poetical, happy.”
